Heute erscheinen zwei Alben französischsprachiger Indie-Pop Artists, die wir euch gerne ans Herz legen würden. Das wäre einmal Miel De Montagne mit seinem neuen Album Ouin Ouin und Kids Return mit ihrem neuem Album 1997. Beide schaffen es mit einem energiegelanden Sound den französischen Indie-Pop zurück in unseren Playlisten zu bringen!
Miel De Montagne schafft den Spagat zwischen Melancholie und unbeschwerter Freude mit groovigen Elektro-Pop Elementen. Kids Return präsentieren hingegen einen rohen Sound der 90er-Indie-Szene Großbritannies, der uns und euch tagelang im Kopf rumschwirren wird.

Blasé is an artist who just released his first album, and this track is insane—I’ve been listening to it a lot lately. It’s a feature with Cola Boy, released posthumously, and I think it’s a pure tribute. I would have loved to meet him. For me, he’s clearly a new French artist to watch!
Miel De Montagne – Le Roi Soleil
„Le Roi De Soleil“ is one of my favorite tracks right now because I’ve had this song sitting on my Mac for a really long time. Right before finishing the album, I wrote the lyrics with my older sister while she was at my place, chilling on the couch, and boom—I added it to the album! That’s why it’s kind of special to me. ❤️

I’m totally obsessed with this song right now. I missed it when it first came out, but I think it’s going to be my summer anthem this year!
Muddy Monk is an artist I’ve been listening to since the beginning. We started playing festivals together, and I’ve always loved his vibe.
Flavien Berger really inspired me during my first album—I was looping some of his tracks nonstop!
He’s the only one in France doing this kind of thing. He has his own style, and I love it. He got me back into reggae big time.
Elisa Difallah – Ascenseur emo
I fell in love with this super short track, so I asked her to sing on a song from Ouin Ouin. I love Elisa’s voice. 🙂
Fresh Finds by Kids Returns
This track is by our friend Billie, and we had the pleasure of producing it. We really love it—it has great dreamy rock vibes with a slow tempo.
We’re really proud of this track. It went through a lot of changes, with several beat revisions, before we finally landed on this loop on an MPC. The idea of a track in two parts is something we’ve always wanted to explore.

They’re from London and are good friends of ours. Their album was produced and mixed by Philippe Zdar, and it was the last album he worked on before he passed away. For us, it’s one of the best albums of recent years—possibly the best in terms of arrangement.
Kids Return – La Bataille D’eau
This is a track from the soundtrack we created for the film Eternal Playground, directed by Joseph Rozé and Pablo Cotten. We’re huge fans of film music, so it was an exciting project to work on.
